How to Check Your House for Hail Damage
When a hail storm hits your house it can be difficult on first glance to assess whether your home sustained damage. Here are some tips on how to spot damage, along with a free guide on getting your repairs covered by insurance.
1. Walk around all four sides of your house and look for small dents on your downspouts and downspout extensions. Look for dents on metal window and door trim and garage doors. You may also be able to spot outward dents on first story gutters. If these soft metals on your house have dents it is likely that your roofing shingles also sustained damage.
