Reason # 1: SAVE MONEY
Replacing single-paned windows with Energy Star windows over standard double-paned windows can save you money on your energy bill.
The average home* in Omaha, NE choosing Energy Star windows saves:
$296 a year when replacing single pane windows.
$107 a year over non ENERGY STAR qualified double-paned, clear glass replacement windows.
*Assumptions:
Savings estimates based on an even mix of 1,700 sq. ft one-story and 2,600 sq. ft two-story homes with natural gas heat and electric air conditioning.

Reason #2: TAX CREDITS
Homeowners may receive a tax credit equal to 10% of the product cost (installation costs may NOT be included) up to:
$200 for eligible windows and skylights
$500 for eligible doors
To be eligible for the credit, windows, doors, and skylight must:
Be installed in the taxpayer's main residence
Be installed between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2016
