Project Spotlight: James Hardie Siding Transformation in Papillion, NE
Homeowner Andrew was looking for a fresh update of his outdated house in Papillion. The paint had started to fade and there was rotted wood on the chimney and back of the house that needed replaced to avoid further deterioration to the house’s exterior. The house was updated with James Hardie 8” Plank siding in factory-painted Aged Pewter. The front trim, soffits and fascia were painted white to brighten the house and add dimension.

Hello, this is Mark and this is Efron. We’re in Candlewood Lake. Efron is installing Hardie board. It’s fiber cement, it’s woodpecker-proof, fireproof and has a 30-year non-prorated warranty. It’s the best materials on the market for your house. Efron installed this wall right here. It’s pre-painted with Sherwin Williams paint. If you want a great job, this is the guy that’s going to do it for you. He’s been doing this for years and years and he’s my best partner in siding and the best in town.
Hi, good afternoon. What we’re doing here is we’re demolishing the siding on the side of the house. Then after the demolition what’s going to go up is Hardie board paper. It’s going to protect the house from getting wet so if the water were to get on the house then it would slide down on the paper. Over the paper we’re going to put up siding. Once the siding is installed then it’ll be caulked on the sides so that water won’t go through. Then after that we’ll just check and see if there’s any more detailing to do. So pretty much that’s what’s being done as of now.
